How it‘s Made? Find out More About Linen

Although most of us love linen, wear linen clothes and use linen sheets, there are very few people who know how this amazing and all-natural fabric is made. Today we have prepared some information that will help you easily understand the process of linen manufacturing.

How linen is made ?

Linen fabric is made from the flax plant. It is a plant that is not difficult to grow, since it easily grows in a moist soil. The most important thing in manufacturing linen fabric  is separating the flax fibres from the plant. It is a hard job and surprisingly some of it is still being done by hand since it has to be done very carefully. Once the cellulose fibre is separated from the woody core it is considered to be prepared for threading. The fibre is used to produce thread, yarn and other types of linen material. Linen threads are woven into pieces of fabric and various products are made of it.

Linen is a great fabric that is perfect for any weather because of its attribute of keeping your body chilled in the summer and warming you up in the winter. Linen products because softer and softer after multiple washings and are considered to last you a lifetime. Linen absorbs humidity and is a perfect choice for clothing, bedding and even towels.
